Electrical Instructor - Adult Education

Tri-Rivers Career Center is seeking an experienced electrician to join our Adult Education team as a Part-Time Electrical Instructor. This is an opportunity to share your industry expertise, mentor adult learners, and help prepare the next generation of electricians, industrial maintenance technicians, and skilled trades professionals. Whether your background is in residential, commercial, industrial, or maintenance electrical work, you'll play a key role in delivering hands-on, career-focused training that leads directly to employment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom instruction and hands-on laboratory training.
• Teach electrical theory, installation, troubleshooting, and industry best practices.
• Prepare students for careers in residential, commercial, industrial, and maintenance electrical fields.
• Reinforce OSHA, NFPA 70E, and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
• Evaluate student performance through written assessments and practical skill demonstrations.
• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Support student success, industry credential attainment, and workforce readiness.
• Collaborate with program leadership and industry partners to keep curriculum aligned with employer needs.

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of experience as an electrical engineer or residential, commercial, industrial, or maintenance electrician.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for developing the next generation of skilled trades professionals.
