Electrical Inspector Plans Examiner

About the role

SAFEbuilt is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Building Official. The ideal candidate will have experience in plan review, inspection, and code enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Review construction plans for compliance with local building codes and regulations
• Inspect construction sites to ensure adherence to approved plans and safety standards
• Enforce local building codes and regulations during inspections
• Issue permits and maintain records of all inspections and approvals
• Communicate effectively with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders
• Respond to complaints and inquiries related to building code compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in building inspection or plan review
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Passion for community development and public service

Pay

Salary range: $50,000 - $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
