Electrical Inspector

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of electrical, electro‑mechanical, electronic, and digital systems for traffic signals, highway lighting, booster pump stations, sewage treatment plants, storm‑drain pump stations, CDS units, low‑flow diversion, water disinfection plants, water‑well pumps, electrical panels, and related systems.
• Monitor electrical work in pump stations, sewage‑treatment plants, water‑booster pump stations, and all electrical panels associated with dam water‑valve operations.
• Inspect installations of traffic‑signal and lighting conduits, pull boxes, wiring, concrete foundations, standards, signal heads, controller cabinets, traffic‑signal detector loops, and major electrical services and gear for industrial or commercial use, including pump stations, spreading grounds, and dams.
• Read and interpret complex project plans and specifications, ensure compliance with code requirements and safe work practices, prepare inspection reports, and maintain accurate inspection records.

Requirements

• Certified electrician.
• Current International Code Council (ICC) Electrical certificate.
