Electrical/Industrial Maintenance Technician - Tier 4
General Overview
Provides maintenance support to all departments and ensures that all machinery and equipment are in safe working order within the facility: 7-10 years of experience, must have and demonstrate advanced knowledge of both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. Must understand industrial control systems, pneumatic and hydraulic control systems, PLC systems, and plant utilities. Must demonstrate sound problem-solving skills along with the ability to lead and train lower tiered maintenance technicians. Must be a self-starter.
Responsibilities
- Consistently and safely perform electrical and mechanical repairs without supervision.
- Communicate the issues to affected departments and processes.
- Strategically prepare ahead for the job to expedite repairs and reduce machine downtime.
- Serve as the backup to the Group Leader as needed to maintain consistent workflow and priorities.
- Train maintenance techs at all levels.
- Proficiently demonstrate knowledge of plantwide assets: Robotics, PLCs, injection & blow molding equipment, assembly line, testers, and support equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting of equipment and processes in industrial electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatic controls.
- Work closely with other technicians and be hands-on to complete tasks quickly and proficiently.
- Work independently and proficiently in all areas of the plant.
- Utilize established maintenance and PM procedures to better maintain mechanical and electrical systems.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshoot of equipment as needed following proper LOTO procedures.
- Determine parts to be replaced or repaired and work with Group Leader or Maintenance Manager to order replacement parts.
- Utilize maintenance management system to track daily activities, close workorders, track time, etc.
- Meticulously document preventative maintenance activities in maintenance management system (CMMS), including service dates, replacement information, and keeping accurate records.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss strategies on how best to maintain machinery & keep it working at optimal levels during peak season periods.
- Maintain good housekeeping in the maintenance shop and follow 5S system.
- Avoid working alone and always wear proper PPE and work safely in all areas following all personal protective standards.

- Proficient in industrial, mechanical, and electrical skills.
- Proficient in PLC hardware and software.
- Proficient in installing, programming, AC & DC drives, servos, and heating controls.
- Able to troubleshoot and manually operate multi-axis robotic systems.
- Able to prioritize equipment issues and resolve problems effectively and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, professionalism, and effective time management to meet organizational goals.
- Adhere to established safety protocols and best practices.
Education/Experience
Requires at least 7-10 years’ experience in industrial maintenance or a technical degree combined with at least 7 years of experience in an industrial maintenance setting. Specialization in Electrical Technology is required. LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) is required. Arc Flash training is required. Previous Forklift and Fall Protection training required.
