Qualifications
- Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in industrial electrical systems and controls.
- Strong knowledge of AC/DC electrical circuits, motor controls, electrical distribution systems, and industrial automation equipment.
- Proficient in the use of multimeters, megohmmeters, clamp meters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, ladder logic, and technical manuals.
- Working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, sensors, instrumentation, and industrial communication networks.
- Experience with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of motors, drives, transformers, control panels, and electrical equipment.
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical safety practices including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact with production, engineering, and maintenance personnel.
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to understand technical documentation, safety procedures, and work instructions.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install industrial electrical and control systems.
- Independently diagnose complex electrical, automation, and instrumentation issues using advanced diagnostic techniques.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, sensors, safety circuits, and industrial networks.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical equipment to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
- Install, wire, test, and commission electrical equipment, control panels, motors, instrumentation, and automation systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair motor control circuits, power distribution systems, transformers, robotic systems, and production equipment.
- Support equipment upgrades, automation projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist engineering and operations teams with process improvements and equipment optimization.
- Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and electrical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all electrical safety standards, company policies, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and production interruptions in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance personnel to improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
