Electrical Hydraulic Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Electrical Hydraulic Technician safely and efficiently performs top-quality operational duties on electrical, hydraulic, electronic, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, builds, and installs electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• Works from manuals, schematics, and blueprints
• Assembles, programs, and installs PLC systems
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned by Maintenance Superintendent, Assistant Supervisor, or Group Leader

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Technical training from the military, vocational/technical school, or college
• Five years’ experience as a technician in an industrial maintenance department
• Trained in use and operation of switchgear and troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems
• Ability to read and comprehend sufficient English to follow work instructions and blueprints
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Basic mathematical skills associated with the position
• Strong reasoning ability to troubleshoot machines
• Ability to work well with little supervision
• Must be able to achieve and retain a forklift license

Physical Demands

• Must be able to climb on machines
• Able to lift 70 pounds
• Stand and walk for extended amounts of time

Work Environment

General factory environment. Exposed to heat, cold, noise, dust, oil/grease, and traveling powered industrial vehicles.
