About the role
The Maintenance Electrical Hydraulic Technician safely and efficiently performs top-quality operational duties on electrical, hydraulic, electronic, and mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots, repairs, builds, and installs electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Works from manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Assembles, programs, and installs PLC systems
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned by Maintenance Superintendent, Assistant Supervisor, or Group Leader
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Technical training from the military, vocational/technical school, or college
- Five years’ experience as a technician in an industrial maintenance department
- Trained in use and operation of switchgear and troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read and comprehend sufficient English to follow work instructions and blueprints
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Basic mathematical skills associated with the position
- Strong reasoning ability to troubleshoot machines
- Ability to work well with little supervision
- Must be able to achieve and retain a forklift license
Physical Demands
- Must be able to climb on machines
- Able to lift 70 pounds
- Stand and walk for extended amounts of time
Work Environment
General factory environment. Exposed to heat, cold, noise, dust, oil/grease, and traveling powered industrial vehicles.
