Electrical Helper - (Knoxville, TN)

Job Duties

• Aid in the assembly, installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical equipment and fixtures used in the petroleum industry.
• Install conduits, pull wire, and make final connections to circuit breakers, petroleum pumps, dispensers, Point of Sale consoles, tank monitors, and petroleum lighting.
• Inspect electrical systems and components to ensure compliance with safety requirements, codes, project specifications, and manufacturer requirements.
• Verify the proper operation of the electrical system.
• Advise management, customers, and employees about potential hazards and when electrical systems are safe to operate.
• Assist estimators with material take-offs, material costs, and labor allowances.

Experience, Competencies And Education

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 to 3 years of experience as an apprentice with an electrical company, without a journeyman card.
• Knowledge of electrician standards and codes.
• Detail-oriented skills.
• Strong communication abilities.
• Ability to lift 75 – 100 lbs when necessary during the course of performing duties.
• Experience working outside in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work under time constraints and collaborate effectively with others.
• Compliance with company procedures.
