Electrical Helper - Construction/Installations (CRYSTAL RIVER, FL AREA)

About the role

SPATCO Energy Solutions has been an industry leader in providing energy solutions since 1935, delivering fueling and charging stations across retail, commercial, industrial, and government sectors. The company builds, installs, maintains, and tests electrical equipment for the petroleum industry, offers in‑house training, and provides equipment, parts, and expertise to meet customer needs. The electrical helper works on a variety of construction jobs within a team, may travel out of town, and is eligible to attend SPATCO’s in‑house training programs to advance their understanding of construction and/or electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the assembly, installation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and fixtures used in the petroleum industry.
• Install conduits, pull wire and make final connections to circuit breakers, petroleum pumps, dispensers, Point of Sale consoles, tank monitors and petroleum lighting.
• Inspect electrical system and components to verify compliance with safety requirements, codes, project specifications and manufacturer requirements.
• Verify proper operation of the electrical system.
• Advise management, customers and employees when hazards are present and when electrical systems are safe to operate.
• Assist estimator with material take‑off, material cost and labor allowances.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 2 to 3 years working as an apprentice with an electrical company (no journeyman card needed)
• Knowledge of Electrician standards & codes required
• Detail oriented
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to lift 75–100 lbs when necessary
• Ability to work outside in all types of weather
• Ability to work under time constraints efficiently and work well with others
• Follow all company procedures
