Electrical General Foreman

Responsibilities

• Makes sure work progresses according to schedule
• Ensures material and equipment are delivered on time
• Supervises workers to ensure they do not interfere with one another
• Confers with supervisory and engineering personnel to resolve construction problems and improve methods
• Inspects work in progress to ensure it conforms to specifications and schedules are adhered to
• Prepares or receives reports on progress, materials, and equipment used and costs and adjusts work schedules as necessary

Requirements

• Four years of experience in variety of installations of conduit, cable tray, electrical buildings with gear 120-25kv, and cable pulls/terminations for instrumentation, 600 volt to 25kv
• Three years minimum of experience as an Industrial Electrical Foreman with one year expertise as a General Foreman
• OSHA 30 Safety Requirements
• Must attend and successfully complete Saulsbury Industries safety training education
• Attends safety meetings and specialty training as directed by management
• Attends various training classes as may be assigned by management

• Ability to climb 30-foot ladders without resting
• Ability to maintain balance on catwalks and narrow workspaces
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to reach above head while sitting or standing
• Ability to reach below knees while standing
• Ability to stoop or kneel
• Ability to work 60 or more hours each week
• Ability to work at heights a minimum of 20 ft.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
