Responsibilities
- Makes sure work progresses according to schedule
- Ensures material and equipment are delivered on time
- Supervises workers to ensure they do not interfere with one another
- Confers with supervisory and engineering personnel to resolve construction problems and improve methods
- Inspects work in progress to ensure it conforms to specifications and schedules are adhered to
- Prepares or receives reports on progress, materials, and equipment used and costs and adjusts work schedules as necessary
Requirements
- Four years of experience in variety of installations of conduit, cable tray, electrical buildings with gear 120-25kv, and cable pulls/terminations for instrumentation, 600 volt to 25kv
- Three years minimum of experience as an Industrial Electrical Foreman with one year expertise as a General Foreman
- OSHA 30 Safety Requirements
- Must attend and successfully complete Saulsbury Industries safety training education
- Attends safety meetings and specialty training as directed by management
- Attends various training classes as may be assigned by management
Physical Requirements
- Manual and finger dexterity
- Eye-hand coordination
- Depth perception
- Ability to see things clearly that are beyond arm’s reach (far visual acuity)
- Ability to see small detail
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb 30-foot ladders without resting
- Ability to maintain balance on catwalks and narrow workspaces
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to reach above head while sitting or standing
- Ability to reach below knees while standing
- Ability to stoop or kneel
- Ability to work 60 or more hours each week
- Ability to work at heights a minimum of 20 ft.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
