Electrical General Foreman

We construct, renovate, and install nearly every electrical system component related to data center construction, facilities maintenance, electrical systems upgrades, and virtually anything else required to keep facilities running on the cutting edge of efficiency and technology.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical General Foreman to lead new construction projects across the DFW area. This role is responsible for overseeing field operations, managing crews, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The General Foreman partners with Project Managers and field leadership to ensure successful execution aligned with company values. Safety is first and foremost.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the everyday activities of assigned personnel such as Foreman, JIW, Helper/Apprentice.
• Procure, assign, assess, evaluate, and allocate resources, material, tools, and documents required for the project.
• Provide the most cost-effective and efficient means available to produce a profitable project.
• Schedule the crew with the Project Manager and/or Senior GF/Superintendent; on smaller projects, assume all duties of a Project Supervisor.
• Conduct safety meetings, task planners, and maintain hours and budgets.
• Oversee material and tool distribution, and maintain project schedules.
• Attend regular meetings and conduct continuing employee assessments.
• Set positive examples for employees and hold them accountable for performance, safety, and attendance.
• Design and lay out processes.
• Personal contact with owner/contractor and assist with Foreman daily duties.
• Identify potential leaders and mentor them.
• Identify and implement better processes.

• Bend conduit by hand with hand benders.
• Use all power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, and knockout punches.
• Dig trenches using hand tools or power equipment.
• Operate equipment such as trenchers, backhoes, and lift trucks safely.
• Practice and comprehend safe work procedures as outlined in safety policies (Haz-Com, Lockout/Tagout).
• Operate two-handed tools/equipment (cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jackhammers).
• Operate company trucks with manual and automatic transmissions.
• Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, blueprints, and written instructions.
• Operate and work from mechanical personnel lifts (electric or gas-powered).
• Supervise assigned job site employees to complete projects.
• Communicate effectively in English (bilingual is a plus).

Qualifications

• Valid TDLR Electrical Journeyman License.
• 6+ years of electrical experience (commercial/industrial).
• 2+ years as a Foreman.
• OSHA 30 Certification.
• CPR & First Aid Certification.
• NFPA 70E Training.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Physical Demands

• Move freely and comfortably in various positions, including bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and working overhead or in confined spaces.
• Lift and carry materials and tools weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Perform repetitive actions such as grasping or manipulating wires while standing for long periods.
• Identify and voice hazards to ensure corrections and precautionary measures are taken.
• Effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of employees and professionals.

Work Environment

The work environment may require:

• Working outdoors, exposed to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical/electrical parts, high/precarious places, dust, fumes, airborne particles, toxic/caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions.
• Extended exposure to sunlight, cold, and heat.
• Risk of electrical shock and vibration.
• Moderate to loud noise levels.
