Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot electrical issues
- Collaborate with and assist other trades departments as needed
- Run any size project from start to finish
- Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and estimators
- Show strong understanding of turn-key industrial process
- Train apprentices and journeyman electricians
- Plan new or modified installations
- Adhere to company safety standards and procedures
Requirements
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license is required
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in an industrial electrical role
- Able to read blueprints and schematics proficiently
- Understands various aspects of an industrial facility
- Strong knowledge of electrical code and applies it daily
- Experience installing specialty systems, hazardous, medium voltage, building control disconnect and reconnect manufactured equipment, presses, weld cells
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with NEC guidelines
- Preferred requirements: Transformers, Medium Voltage, Medium Voltage Terminations, Equipment & Tool Experience, Aerial -lift Operation, Boom & Scissor Lift, Forklift Operation – Material Handling up to 5000#, Basic Operation of trucks and equipment, Trailer Loading and securing of construction material, Telehandler Skid Steer – Material Handling, Meter usage, Meggers, Rigging Requirements, Signal or verbal direction of workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads, Use & recognize limitations of chains, synthetic, metal mesh and wire rope slings, Use & recognize rigging hardware including hooks, shackles, wire rope clips, clamps, eye bolts, softeners and tag lines, Identify common load configurations & positioning, Calculate load weights, Rigger 2 training – trains on above
Physical Requirements
- Able to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at height
- Work in permit & non-permit required confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment
- Able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionally
- Able to respond quickly to auditory alarms, visual signals, or other effective means to communicate hazards
- Able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- Able to work in cold/hot environments
- Able to traverse irregular and steep terrain
