ELECTRICAL FIELD SUPERINTENDENT
Position Summary
Hopkins | Lacy, the mechanical, electrical, plumbing division of Branch Group, is seeking an Electrical Field Superintendent. This role involves joint responsibility with the Project Manager for project success. Key duties include scheduling, cost control, resource management, and continuous field supervision.
Duties/Responsibilities
- This position is part of the crew and primarily performs field work labor.
- Works with tools in the field as needed.
- Ensures compliance with project contract documents, plans, and specifications.
- Becomes familiar with project details including payment methods, plans, specifications, and relevant documents.
- Maintains accurate layouts and ensures adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Manages relationships with company owner, engineers, and the construction team.
- Notifies appropriate parties of changes or concerns in the construction plan.
- Participates in pricing of changed/additional work.
- Develops and updates a Grand Plan/Schedule of operation and communicates it to employees.
- Supervises subcontractors to ensure quality and schedule requirements.
- Clearly conveys potential risks and areas of concern to the Project Manager.
- Responsible for on-site safety meetings and implementing safety procedures.
- Reviews and submits detailed budget, time restraints, cost codes, and purchase control before construction begins.
- Accurately documents labor and equipment usage.
- Ensures work meets contractual quality standards.
- Oversees safety meetings and implements safety programs.
- Enforces OSHA and VOSHA standards and the Miss Utility policy.
- Recruits, deploys, and terminates hourly field personnel.
Qualifications
- Ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Professional and ethical behavior.
- Understanding of building systems and their interplay.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of standards, specifications, codes, regulations, and laws.
- 8-10 years' experience in construction.
- 3-5 years' experience in supervisory positions.
- High school-level math and language skills.
- Valid driver's license and Branch Group "Approved Driver" status.
- Genuine concern and sense of urgency.
- Ability to maintain team morale.
Compensation
Salary range: $73,325 - $125,720. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position requiring approximately 40 hours per week.
