Electrical Estimator/Project Manager
About the role
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Duncan, SC. The Electrical Estimator/Project Manager develops detailed electrical estimates from plans, specifications, and site walks, including material take-offs, labor calculations, and subcontractor pricing. The role prepares proposals, participates in bid reviews, and supports contract negotiations.
Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and scheduling electrical projects, coordinating with field supervisors and electricians, tracking costs, managing change orders, and maintaining project documentation. The role oversees job progress to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with electrical codes and customer requirements, while communicating regularly with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders about timelines, budgets, and project status.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed electrical estimates from plans, specifications, and site walks (material take-offs, labor calculations, subcontractor pricing).
- Prepare proposals and participate in bid reviews.
- Support contract negotiations.
- Plan and schedule electrical projects.
- Coordinate with field supervisors and electricians.
- Track project costs and manage change orders.
- Maintain project documentation.

Qualifications
- Strong Electrical Estimating skills, including reading blueprints and specifications, preparing accurate take-offs, and developing competitive proposals.
- Cost Control skills, such as budget tracking, forecasting, change order management, and financial reporting for electrical projects.
- Electrical Contracting experience, including knowledge of installation practices, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and jobsite workflows.
- Foundational knowledge of electricity and electrical systems, including codes, standards, and safety practices.
- Prior experience as an electrical estimator, project manager, or similar role in commercial or industrial construction.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in estimation and project management software (e.g., Excel, estimating tools, scheduling platforms).
- Ability to work onsite in Duncan, SC, collaborate with field teams, and maintain a focus on safety and quality.
- Formal technical training or a degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field is beneficial.
