Electrical Estimator – Low Voltage Switchgear (Manufacturing)

Description

We’re looking for a hands-on Electrical Estimator with direct experience in low-voltage switchgear manufacturing to support our expanding operations. This is a high-impact role where you’ll take ownership of estimating custom switchgear solutions—working closely with engineering, sales, and production teams.

This is not a training role. We are seeking someone who can step in and contribute immediately.

What You’ll Do

• Develop detailed cost estimates for custom switchgear projects
• Interpret one-line diagrams, schematics, and layouts
• Build accurate Bills of Material (BOMs)
• Analyze specifications and customer requirements
• Possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of experience in estimating within the electrical manufacturing industry
• In-depth knowledge of switchgear, control panels, and electrical distribution systems
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, and cost drivers
• Proficiency with estimation and CAD software; ERP/MRP system experience is a plus

We are specifically targeting candidates with manufacturing-based estimating experience. Backgrounds focused solely on construction, utilities, or field installation will not align with this role.
