Job Summary

I'm looking for an Engineering Technician with:

  • A.S. degree
  • 2+ years’ experience manufacturing assembly (working in a device manufacturing environment) with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience
  • SolidWorks knowledge a plus

Responsibilities

  • Build, test, and troubleshoot electrical/electronic circuitry and other systems used in finished equipment or during prototype builds of new products.
  • Demonstrate working understanding of electronic and electromechanical systems.
  • Demonstrate working understanding of a variety of laboratory test equipment.
  • Assemble prototype devices and systems.
  • Fabricate electronic and electromechanical test fixtures.
  • Able to execute pre-defined subsystem/system qualification protocols with moderate supervision.
  • Set up data equipment to capture test data.
  • Perform basic statistical analysis of results. Investigate, analyze, repair, and document component or system level failures.
  • Work within established SOPs and / or scientific methods and adhere to quality guidelines. Work with a moderate degree of supervision.
  • Assist in the manufacturing process development for new products by assisting the NPI MFG Engineer during pilot builds, documenting process steps, tools and go-no-go criteria; manage flow of materials from suppliers, secured stocking locations and into the manufacturing area; and gather part spec sheets and ROHS certification.
  • Participate in medical device hardware assembly during pilot and Prototype builds.
  • Document assembly steps, tool used, track build times, acceptance criteria for completeness and correctness of assembly, and assist in design-for-manufacturability.
  • Manage prototype and pilot build material from tracking materials arriving from suppliers and through warehousing, to inspection for quality defects and completeness, to physically moving them from workspace to workspace. 30lbs MAX
  • Inspect parts to specification sheets and drawings, and disposition non-conforming parts, or update documentation as needed.

Requirements

  • A.S. Degree or experience in electrical/mechanical work and troubleshooting
  • MS Excel knowledge
  • Device manufacturing experience
