Electrical Engineering Project Manager (Air Gapped Cloud)

Responsibilities

• Monitors approved project budgets and oversees project controls (PERs, PSRs, change orders, pay apps), identifying risks and recommending adjustments to maintain financial discipline.
• Facilitates delivery of campus based construction projects through timely, data driven decision-making in partnership with local teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment to Safety, Security, Quality, Schedule, and Cost priorities.
• PARTICIPATES IN CROSS-FUNCTIONAL TEAMWORK AND CHANGE ENABLEMENT BY PARTNERING WITH CO+I AND KEY MICROSOFT STAKEHOLDERS TO DRIVE ADOPTION OF UPDATED PROCESSES, IMPROVING COST SAVINGS, CYCLE TIME, AND OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY ACROSS PROGRAMS.
• REVIEW ENGINEERING DOCUMENTATION, DESIGNS, AND SITE PLANS; IDENTIFY GAPS AND RISKS; AND PROVIDE RECOMMENDATIONS THAT IMPROVE CONSTRUCTABILITY WHILE ADHERING TO SECURITY CORE PRIORITIES AND STANDARDS.
• REPRESENTS MICROSOFT AS A SAFETY ADVOCATE BY ESTABLISHING RISK MITIGATION METRICS, SUPPORTING NATIONAL SAFETY GOALS, ENFORCING REGULATORY COMPLIANCE (E.G., OSHA), CONDUCTING AUDITS, AND CONTRIBUTING TO INCIDENT INVESTIGATIONS.
• OVERSEES PROCUREMENT AND RESOURCING ACTIVITIES, EVALUATES STAFFING AND MATERIAL NEEDS, AND MONITORS VENDOR PERFORMANCE FOR COMPLIANCE, FINANCIAL ACCURACY, AND CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATIONS.
• AID IN TRACKING AND REPORTING PROJECT PROGRESS ACROSS SCOPE, SCHEDULE, STANDARDS, AND BUDGET, SYNTHESIZING COMPLEX DATA INTO CLEAR UPDATES FOR DELIVERY AND EXECUTIVE AUDiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years related experience
• OR equivalent experience
• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
• Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customer and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport.
• Electrical Engineering Degree
• Ability and Willingness to acquire and maintain a US Government Clearance
• Experience managing contractors, construction schedules, and execution plans
• Familiarity with ICD 705/Tempest
• Worked on data center projects for 7+ years
• Familiarity with PMI (Project Management Institute) - PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
