About the role

As an Electrical Engineer in our Advanced Manufacturing group, you’ll contribute to projects that enable the heart of our clients’ successful data center facilities engineering, design, and construction. In this location-flexible U.S. position, you’ll provide design work, collaborate technically with the team, perform quality reviews of design packages, and assist with other portions of the design process. You may also interact directly with clients, owners, and contractors to assist construction on site.

You and your electrical design team will work closely with the broader multi-discipline team in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents. Your responsibilities will include engineering and design for data center facility power distribution systems, UPS, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and low-voltage communications systems in complex industrial facilities. Design may also include retrofit of existing building systems to accommodate evolving client requirements. Additional responsibilities may include management of quality, scope, budget, and schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer and design data center facility power distribution systems, UPS, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and low-voltage communications systems
  • Design retrofit solutions for existing building systems to meet evolving client requirements
  • Provide design work and contribute to team technical collaboration
  • Perform quality reviews of design packages
  • Assist with other portions of the design process, including direct interaction with clients, owners, and contractors during construction
  • Manage quality, scope, budget, and schedule for assigned projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 6 years of experience in engineering design of medium and low voltage distribution systems, building electrical systems, and campus-style power distribution including conveyance
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with industrial facility design
  • Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
  • Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of data center facility design experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Forward-thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
  • Ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Passion for buildings and construction
  • Experience in the design of large projects established on greenfield sites

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $123,600.00 to $187,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
