Duties
- Electrical design support
- Power system modeling
- Field data collection
- Electrical testing support
- Engineering calculations
- Congstruction observation
- Preparation of technical reports and drawings
Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma
- Working toward a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology (or related) discipline
- Completed sophomore year preferred
- Interest in electric utility, power generation, renewable energy, industrial power systems, or electrical consulting
- Exposure to AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, MATLAB, or similar engineering software is preferred but not required
- Willing and able to work on construction sites
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently, demonstrated team-oriented approach to problem-solving, and strong interpersonal skills
- Accuracy, dependability, and strong organizational skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments while meeting project deadlines
- Able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 45 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel to and conduct field work at various job sites
