Electrical Engineering Intern

About the role

The Division of Traffic Signals and Street Lighting is seeking motivated candidates to perform responsible work in Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Engage in research, investigations, studies, or examinations related to engineering functions or activities.
• Prepare designs and plans using AutoCAD, evaluate contract documents and specifications, working drawings, and other technical specifications and estimates of quantities.
• Conduct field visits and complete lighting and traffic survey projects and any lighting improvement requests to ensure city standards, IESNA, and national electrical codes are met.
• Coordinate with design consultants and review submitted plans for development/modification of new/existing signalized intersections and street lighting work.
• Coordinate electrical service, relocation, and other requests for utilities.
