Electrical Engineering II (Onsite)
About the role
Raytheon is seeking talented Electrical Engineers at our McKinney and Plano, TX locations. You will support a critical production program within the Airborne RF Electronics Design Department. You will work as part of an integrated team to resolve issues encountered during production, testing, and integration while collaborating across Engineering, Manufacturing, and Program functions to meet key milestones. Responsibilities may span production hardware or software support, test set development, or a combination of both based on program needs.
Responsibilities
- Assess production test design coverage across special test equipment (STE) to assembly, test, and verification processes
- Troubleshoot hardware and/or test sets down to component level to include analog/digital/radio and microwave frequency circuitry and interfaces and software
- Analyze test data, verify compliance with specifications, and drive resolution of production test set issues
- Evaluate hardware performance, categorize failures, and disposition units systematically and on schedule
- Work in a compact range environment or lab environment
- Interpret, generate, update, release and apply engineering documentation such as test set drawings, assembly drawings, schematics, wire lists, and parts lists
- Identify and implement improvement opportunities while delivering clear status updates to program leadership
- Maintain operability of special test equipment and support production and suppliers through periodic travel (up to 25%)

Qualifications You Must Have
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and implementing solutions
- Experience with using measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Strong communication skills including report writing and presentations
- Conduct failure investigations and provide recommendations to address systemic issues and to prevent recurrence
- Experience with Manufacturing Engineering
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within teams
- Knowledge of Matlab, C#, C++, Python
Pay
The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
