Electrical Engineering Drafter (3900)

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and update schematics, and engineering drawings using computer-aided design software to depict equipment, and systems.
• Create/revise detail and assembly drawings from conceptual layouts and sketches in accordance with established drafting standards using 2D/3D CAD software.
• Prepare lists of material as part of drafting duties.
• Work from verbal and written directions of engineering.
• Research projects independently or acquire subject knowledge by consulting with product developers and applying knowledge of the latest drafting/design technology.

Requirements

• Associates degree from an accredited college or university in design and drafting technology or a related electrical design field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience;
• or
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in design and drafting technology or a related electrical design field.
• A minimum of 3 years of work experience as an Electrical Engineer.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen due to government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements.

Skills

• Proficiency performing electrical engineering drafting.
• Knowledge of drafting standards and techniques.
• Experience creating or reviewing electrical engineering designs based on approved technical requirements.
• Proficiency with engineering software including SolidWorks, SolidWorks Electrical, and/or AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with Programmable Logic Controllers, low voltage electrical distribution, audiovisual, or telecommunications systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
