Electrical Design Drafter
Responsibilities
- Create, revise, and maintain electrical schematics and control system drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop complete electrical drawing packages for manufacturing and production.
- Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Modify and complete existing designs based on project requirements and engineering direction.
- Select appropriate electrical components, including starters, breakers, wiring, and conduit.
- Ensure designs comply with National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable UL requirements.
- Interpret electrical ladder diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
- Support troubleshooting efforts by reviewing and analyzing electrical circuits and documentation.
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure accurate and timely project completion.
Requirements
- Experience using AutoCAD for electrical drafting and design.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and UL requirements.
- Experience creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Understanding of electrical components, wiring methods, and control panel layouts.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical circuits.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Essential Skills
- Associate degree or technical training in Electrical Technology, Drafting, CAD, or a related field.
- Experience designing industrial control panels or automation systems.
- Manufacturing, OEM, or industrial equipment experience.
- Familiarity with motor controls, PLC systems, and industrial electrical equipment.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.50 - $55.00/hr.
