Electrical Engineering Designer

Job SummaryResponsible for the design, development, alteration, or modification of shelter drawings and electrical systems as assigned by the department manager. ResponsibilitiesPrepares a wide variety of detailed drawings and electrical designs for shelters.Breaks down information obtained from the bid letter, customer specifications, and customer supplied drawings to create the shelter design.Makes a variety of calculations following standard procedures (AC service, HVAC, energy, structural, etc.)Prepares work orders while drawings are in progress (detailed BOM).Contributes to projects of high complexity.Completes projects independently and assists other designers.Provides technical assistance to factory personnel, sales staff, or customers.Performs other assigned duties when needed.Potential travel involved for training and collaboration, as needed. QualificationsFour-year Electrical Engineering degree (preferred)4 to 7 years on-the-job Electrical Engineering/Designing experienceAutoCADRevitExcellent oral and written communicationProficiency with Microsoft Office products and Windows operating systemsKnowledge of algebra, geometry, and other mathematical formulasTechnical ability in the architectural, mechanical, industrial, and electrical fields
