Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Actively enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related Undergraduate program through Drexel University with an anticipated graduation date of March 2027 or later.
Demonstrated interest in Electrical Engineering, or related, field and have a strong desire to advance skills related to WSP’s work and projects.
Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to execute projects.
Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Preferred Qualifications
Actively enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related Masters or PhD program through Drexel University with an anticipated graduation date of March 2027 or later.
Experience using Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit.
Prior internship and leadership involvement on campus.

WSP’s projects include both renovation and new construction, both locally and nationally.
Successful candidates will participate in all aspects of electrical engineering and design as it relates to the building and construction industry.

What You Will Do
- Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
- Learn basic principles of Electrical Engineering and related disciplines including:
- Power distribution design and analysis
- Lighting design, analysis and controls
- Low-Voltage systems’ design and analysis
- Power distribution design and analysis
- Become familiar with reading and interpreting building plans and electrical diagrams.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
- Learn Autodesk Revit to model Electrical, Lighting & Low Voltage components and systems.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop engineering drawings and specifications.
- Travel to job sites to survey and review existing buildings and construction progress through various stages of a project.
- Become familiar with various engineering standards and codes.
- Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
- Complete training on assigned tasks.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
- Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
Compensation
Compensation: Expected Pay: $23.90 - $31.11 per hour
