About the role
Alutiiq Information Management, LLC, a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC, seeks an Electrical Engineer to support the sustainment of Department of Defense (DoD) airspace and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence (C4I) systems. The role involves institutionalizing new technologies through reverse engineering, science and technology for obsolescence, repair and evaluation (RESTORE) laboratory activities.
Responsibilities
- Supports the sustainment of DoD Airspace and C4I systems
- Assesses materials, develops components, interprets, and approves drawing requirements for multiple engineering tasks
- Develops 3D CAD models of existing systems using laser scanned measurement data
- Uses traditional metrology/measurement devices and advanced tools like laser scanning, photogrammetry, and others to measure and document systems
- Performs onsite engineering activities including communications, security, and power system design, installation, and testing
- Creates, edits, or proofreads US Government Engineering documentation and applicable standards such as ASME Y14.100-2004, ASME Y14.5M-2004, MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-130, NAVWAR M-4750.5B, SSCPAC Instruction TD 417, and COMSPAWAR M-4720.1
- Works closely with the Government customer to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and standards
- Utilizes Building Information Modeling (BIM) software such as Autodesk Revit to create detailed engineering drawings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience working with engineering drawings
- Ability to provide interpretation and preparation of 3D engineering drawings
- Knowledge of engineering specifications and standards including ASME Y14.100-2004, ASME Y14.5M-2004, MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-130, NAVWAR M-4750.5B, SSCPAC Instruction TD 417, and COMSPAWAR M-4720.1
- Experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM) in programs such as Autodesk Revit
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship status required
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Skills
- Proficiency in Computer Aided Design/Engineering (CAD/CAE)
- Ability to work with traditional and advanced metrology/measurement devices
- Strong understanding of engineering specifications and standards
- Experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM)
