Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our close-knit team. This role involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our customers' electrical systems under the direction of the Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Arc Flash Analysis: Perform and/or provide oversight for short circuit calculations, medium and low-voltage coordination evaluations to optimize protective relay and breaker settings, and arc flash studies in compliance with NFPA, IEEE 1584, and other industry standards. Perform on-site data collection activities, as needed.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant codes and standards.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare engineering documents (e.g., drawings, sketches, instructions, inputs, calculations, analyses, evaluations) according to industry codes, standards, and regulations to support client engineering needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience with power system studies using electrical modeling software (SKM Power Tools, ETAP, Easy Power, etc.).
  • Experience in electrical codes, standards, and criteria for power systems and data centers (NFPA 70 & 70E, and IEEE 1584).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel 10%-20%; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks.
