About the role

As part of our Water team and working under our Process and Controls Technical Service Manager, you’ll be a key player in planning and designing electrical systems for critical infrastructure projects. You’ll work alongside engineers, drafters, and technical managers to bring innovative water and wastewater solutions to life. This is a hybrid role with flexibility and support for work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Plan production for industrial (water/wastewater) and environmental facilities utilizing AutoCAD and Revit software
  • Coordinate design elements with other in-house disciplines, including architecture, structures, environmental, site civil, and landscape design
  • Define equipment, layout, and protection requirements for new and retrofit distribution stations in accordance with all applicable industry codes and standards
  • Interpret customer requirements and develop appropriate distribution station plans and specifications
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on system layout, SCADA controls, automation, and instrumentation
  • Prepare electrical calculations for power distribution (low/medium voltage), lighting, controls, and fire alarm systems

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of power distribution (low and medium voltage), standby power systems, instrumentation, controls, lighting, and fire alarm systems
  • Prior experience in Water and Wastewater treatment preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with ICC, NEC, NFPA building codes, LEED building standards
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit design software
  • Proficient with MS Office suite: Word, Excel, Outlook
  • A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred) or equivalent work experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or the ability to obtain it within 12 months of hire
