Salas O’Brien is an employee-owned engineering and professional services firm committed to making a difference. We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform technical work in accordance with prescribed techniques and procedures.
- Information and data management related to projects and project management.
- Ensure project team members create deliverables that meet or exceed the customer’s expectations and standards.
- Drive business development efforts by building and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for repeat work, and contributing to a high level of client satisfaction.
- Aid in proposal development, scope definition, fee estimates, and presentations to help secure new projects and expand existing client partnerships.
- Collaborate on project designs, drawings, and visual aids using standard computations and analysis.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including design specifications and progress reports.
- Communicate effectively in person and in writing to keep customers, contractors, and project team well informed of pertinent information in a timely manner.
- Foster an environment where new ideas are discussed and developed collaboratively.
- Mentor others through the profession of electrical engineering by providing opportunities to shape their skillset and career trajectories.
Qualifications and Experience
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in an Electrical Engineering field.
- Certification: PE Registration required.
- Experience: Five years of experience in consulting engineering, food processing, wood processing, mining and metals processing or equivalent.
- Relevant experience could include: Power Distribution & Electrical Systems Design, Instrumentation & Controls, Electrical Analysis & Code Application, Adaptability, Initiative.

Compensation & Benefits
The expected base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $140,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and qualifications. This role is also eligible for performance-based bonuses, and a comprehensive U.S. based benefits package, including:
