Electrical Engineer (Springfield, IL)

About the role

From Springfield and reporting functionaly to the Director of Engineering, you will work closely with the Design Office multidisciplinary team located in Canada on the design, integration, and implementation of major tailor-made mechanical equipment's to the strictest specifications of our customers.

Responsibilities

• Design of electrical plans/schematics for overhead material handling systems
• Production of functional descriptions and calculations
• Preparation of purchase requests
• Documentation of completed projects (operation and maintenance manual)
• Preparation and participation in factory tests
• Remote preparation and support for site tests
• Technical assistance to the customer

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant design experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) License
• Good knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA standards and local codes
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
• Good knowledge of Autocad Electrical
• Sense of organization, resourcefulness, autonomy and rigor
• Available to travel to Canada occasionally
