Electrical Engineer Spring Co-op
About the role
Chemours is seeking an Electrical Engineer Co-op to join our Manufacturing Technology team at the Corpus Christi site. As an Electrical Engineer Co-op, you will work closely with the manufacturing technology team, gaining valuable experience through hands-on projects in a chemical plant. You will have exposure to real-time engineering work alongside other engineers to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom. Effective engineering co-ops will have the ability to communicate with impact, strong self-awareness, and a naturally inquisitive mindset.
This position reports directly to the Corpus Christi site co-op coordinator. Candidates must commit to at least six (6) months as a co-op, with two (2) or more terms preferred. The preferred first term is Spring 2027.
Responsibilities
- Work with experienced engineering professionals on improvement and expansion projects.
- Assist operations and maintenance with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem solving.
- Participate in process safety management activities and reviews.
- Contribute to team meetings and conference calls.
- Further develop process technology.
Requirements
- Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Junior or above at the time of assignment.
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Participation in relevant activities, organizations, and projects beyond the classroom.
- 3.2 GPA or above.
