Electrical Engineer (Senior / Staff) – Power Innovation

Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting critical infrastructure.
Drive Power Innovation initiatives, including the integration of automation, real-time monitoring, energy storage, and advanced control systems.
Apply and enhance safety practices, including arc flash mitigation, fault detection, and protection systems.
Provide technical expertise in power distribution, electrical schematics, and system design for both new construction and upgrades.
Manage engineering projects from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and business objectives.
Analyze system performance and reliability, identifying opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet operational and business needs.
Mentor and support the development of engineers, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university and (15) fifteen years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers or related industry.
  • PREFERRED: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • PREFERRED: PE License
  • Senior Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university and eight (8) years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers or related industry.
  • PREFERRED: Master’s degree in electrical engineering
  • PREFERRED: PE License
  • PREFERRED Experience supporting Pre-FEED, FEED, or EPC projects
  • PREFERRED Experience with instrumentation and control system design
  • PREFERRED Experience with power system modeling and analysis tools (e.g., ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, Simulink)
  • PREFERRED Knowledge of high-voltage systems, transformers, generators, switchgear, and grid integration

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in power generation, power distribution systems, and electrical design
  • Experience integrating advanced power technologies, including automation, controls, and energy systems
  • Ability to analyze system performance and reliability, including arc flash, fault analysis, and system optimization
  • Experience with automation and control systems, including PLCs and HMI systems
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while leading technical efforts and influencing outcomes
