Electrical Engineer (Senior / Staff)

About the Role

As a Senior / Staff Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Innovation, you will lead the design, optimization, and integration of electrical systems supporting critical infrastructure such as pipelines and compressor stations. You will advance power innovation initiatives through automation, real-time monitoring, energy storage, and control systems while ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. This role involves managing engineering projects from concept to execution, analyzing system performance, and collaborating across teams to deliver effective solutions. Mentoring junior engineers and influencing technical standards are key aspects of this high-impact position.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize electrical systems and power distribution for critical infrastructure
• Drive power innovation by integrating advanced control and automation technologies
• Apply safety practices including arc flash mitigation and fault detection
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
• Analyze system reliability and performance for continuous improvement
• Lead engineering projects aligning with scope and objectives
• Mentor and develop engineering team members
• Influence engineering standards and technical strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 8+ years (Senior) or 15+ years (Staff) of relevant experience in energy or related industries
• Expertise in power generation, distribution, automation, controls, system modeling, and analysis tools (ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, Simulink)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently

Qualifications

• Master's degree (preferred)
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (preferred)
• Experience in project management and supporting large-scale projects (Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC) is advantageous
