About the role

The Command System team oversees the ground design of multiple electrical components required at different Sentinel weapon system facilities located across the nation. This position is located: Roy, UT.

Responsibilities

  • Attending internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings
  • Supporting formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates
  • Working in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels
  • Ensuring appropriate coordination between electrical design and other integration teams
  • Coordinating electrical system engineering content and work products
  • Conducting electrical analysis and/or developing LRU electrical designs
  • Developing Product Definition Packages (PDPs)/Analysis Data Packages (ADPs) and taking them through the full review and release process
  • Reviewing engineering deliverables such as one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, part data sheets, interconnect connect diagrams, specifications, electrical analysis and trade studies
  • Performing research, trade studies, evaluation, and systems integration in electrical or electro-mechanical systems, cables, connectors, power systems, test equipment, and more
  • Possessing strong interpersonal skills to work effectively to understand system level interdependencies that impact electrical requirements and design constraints
  • Demonstrating leadership principles – Integrity, respect, organizational, communication etc.

Requirements

  • Engineer Electrical: Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience, or 0 years of experience with a Master’s degree.
  • Principal Engineer Electrical: Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience, or 2 years of experience with a Master’s degree, or 0 years of experience with a PhD.

Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
  • Familiarity with industry/Military standards and codes (IEC, NEC, NFPA, IEC 60332, IEEE 299, UL, NEC 770, ISO 9001).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc).
  • Strong written and verbal communication for preparing technical reports, specifications, and presenting design concepts to stakeholders.
  • Experience with electrical designs and/or analysis of subsystems or components.

Skills

  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC design, shielding techniques, and thermal management for electronic systems.
  • Experience creating wiring diagrams, harness drawings, and bill of materials (BOM) documents.
  • Strong understanding of cable construction, materials, and performance characteristics (e.g., voltage rating, current carrying capacity, shielding).
  • Knowledgeable of IPC/WHMA-A-620.
  • Knowledgeable with Siemens Teamcenter PLM or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with CAD/ECAD tools for cable design (Siemens Capital).
  • Experience managing design revisions, change orders, and interfacing with cross functional teams.
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, milestone reviews, and government contracting.
  • Experience maintaining and reporting status of program activities.

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00

Schedule

This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. The position is standard work schedule of 9/80.
