About the role
Tetra Tech is seeking a Mid to Senior Electrical Engineers in Englewood, CO, Casper, WY, and Billings, MT offices. This position provides electrical and power design support for pipeline, compressor station, and terminal/tank projects nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Design, engineering, and technical support for pipeline, compressor station, and terminal/tank projects nationwide
- Lead a multi-disciplinary project team
- Participate in construction support, site commissioning, and start-up activities
- Specify and procure electrical equipment
- Train junior staff and communicate with peers, contractors, and clients
- Handle troubleshooting and provide clear, efficient communication
- Manage multiple tasks and requests with a high level of competence and accuracy
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in Electrical or Power Engineering, with Oil and Gas experience preferred
- P.E. preferred
- Proficient with cable and conduit schedules, ETAP, power equipment sizing; well-versed in NFPA 70
- Exposure to Substation design is a plus
- Experience with AutoCAD or Revit is desired
Qualifications
- Pre-employment drug screen in compliance with federal regulations is required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions
- Physical requirements include constant sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, bending, and reaching with hands and arms; frequent moving about to accomplish tasks; specific vision abilities required; sufficient clarity of speech and hearing abilities required; composure and ability to prioritize and handle several urgent tasks and requests simultaneously with a high level of competence and accuracy; occasional climbing stairs and ladders to read meters at active oil & gas sites
- Work environment consists of an indoor office environment, but may include extreme temperatures (e.g., cold, heat), fumes, variable weather conditions, outdoor work, and noise due to some travel & work on worksites
