Responsibilities
- Perform and/or lead electrical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.
- Support business development efforts by providing level of effort estimates for proposals and capabilities/qualifications summaries.
- Interface with clients on projects to communicate progress, resolve comments and/or open items, and provide in-person presence for meetings or site technical support.
- Manage small project budgets and schedules for technical deliverables.
- Modify and review production drawings for a variety of projects including, but not limited to: power plants, process facilities, industrial facilities, commercial, and governmental and military facilities.
- Design electrical components for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers.
- Research and compile project related data as required by the project managers.
- Compile information for client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration for the design of power, process, pipeline, industrial, commercial, and governmental and military facilities.
- Perform field inspections, measurements or calculations for public and private clients.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program, or
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- A Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering may be substituted for 1 year experience.
- 3 years of electrical engineering experience, consulting preferred.
- Successful completion of the Fundamental of Engineering exam, or EIT preferred; PE preferred.
- Strong knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures.
- Experience with nuclear plant electrical power design, standard design process, plant modification packages, configuration management, and ASME NQA-1 (safety-related) requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in standard engineering techniques and procedures.
- Strong computer skills (e.g., ETAP, PowerTools, Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong computer skills include AutoCAD, MicroStation, 2D and 3D rendering programs and other analysis programs.
- Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.
Pay
Compensation: $105,000.00 - $170,000.00 Yearly
