Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical designs for MV switchgear GMSG & SIMOVAC control panels in accordance with Customer project specifications and applicable IEEE standards.
  • Prepare Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs), control schematics, wiring diagrams, and Bills of Material (BOM).
  • Read and understand General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
  • Select switchgear components such as MCBs, MCCBs, ACBs, contactors, metering devices, test switch, control switch, terminal blocks, and protection relays.
  • Review the technical specifications of projects and devices used, ensuring technical compliance and identifying design risks early.
  • Coordinate with Project Engineer, Procurement & Liaison team to resolve issues and maintain quality of your delivery and manufacturability of the design delivered.
  • Support the Liaison engineering team for any issues during manufacturing support for your project.
  • Manage design revisions, maintain documentation control, and provide regular project status reporting to Manager and other team members working on same project.
  • Drive continuous improvement in design standards, templates, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering or similar field.
  • Two (2) or more years of hands-on experience in LV switchgear or control panel design.
  • Strong working knowledge of IEEE standards and Switchgear panel design practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, SharePoint, SAP and any CRM software.
  • Proven understanding of electrical components, protection systems, and panel construction.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and produce technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a diligent mindset.

  • Knowledge of Siemens switchgear products or other switchgear brands.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $68,830 - $117,994 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.

Schedule

This position is hybrid, with onsite work and opportunities to work from home.
