About the role

Switchgear Design Engineer responsible to design, validate, and bring new transfer switch products to market. Supports transfer switch products from concept through mass production.

Responsibilities

• Designs, validates, and brings new transfer switch products to market
• Supports transfer switch products from concept through mass production
• Specifies precise new product functional requirements
• Designs, tests and integrates a variety of increasingly complex components to produce final designs
• Utilizes CAD or CAE systems to model new designs and produce detailed engineering drawings
• Optimize increasingly complex designs for manufacturability

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
• At least five (5) years of design engineering experience
• Experience in mechanism design
• Experience in switchgear design
• 3D modeling experience (Pro/E, CREO or SolidWorks)
