Responsibilities
- Collaborate Across Disciplines: Act as the bridge between engineering teams, ensuring seamless integration and coordination across all project disciplines.
- Shape Project Success: Develop innovative design studies, define project scopes, and create accurate engineering estimates.
- Master Procurement & Installation: Draft detailed specifications for electrical equipment, evaluate technical bids, and select solutions to meet project needs.
- Perform Precision Calculations: Execute essential electrical calculations that form the foundation of successful designs and installations.
- Think Creatively: Bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to solve complex technical challenges.
- Be Hands-On in the Field: Travel to project sites, conduct walkdowns, oversee installations, and support start-up activities to ensure quality and compliance.
- Lead and Inspire Teams: Foster a positive, goal-oriented environment with motivational leadership, empowering teams to achieve success.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university, or equivalent work and training in a related role.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with design of electrical systems (for mid-level roles).
- Experience in one of the following industries highly preferred: engineering/design services, power generation, nuclear power, heavy industrial (chemical or pulp & paper), energy, and government (DOE) projects.
- Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work as an individual contributor and effectively in teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Some roles may require U.S. citizenship due to federal contract requirements. Senior Engineers typically have 7+ years of post-graduate experience, while Principal Engineers typically have 10+ years.
Pay
Compensation Range: USD $90,000.00 – USD $185,000.00 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, geographic location, and internal equity.
