Electrical Engineer - Mid-Level

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Engineering site surveys and analysis
• Feasibility studies
• Load studies and energy analysis
• Computer Aided Drafting
• Quality Control
• Detailed design of power distribution systems
• Develop one-line diagrams, control schematics, and electrical & instrument diagrams (E&IDs)
• Equipment selections, load calculations, control diagrams, systems narratives, commissioning planning and execution, and creating specification documents
• Utilize basic engineering principles and practical design solutions
• Aid in the development and review of custom designs and sequences
• Develop and implement integrated systems testing procedures and commissioning
• Assist in project management to deliver projects on time and within budget
• Work with clients, salesmen, managers, and engineers to coordinate project designs
• Work with sub-consultants to coordinate trades
• Attend job meetings & coordinate activities as required
• Attend training as requested to further enhance duties

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to work accurately, with attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Outstanding initiative, a well-organized and strong sense of responsibility
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong awareness of current and emerging industry standards, vendors, and technologies
• Two to five years of experience
• BS in Electrical Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) License
• Basic knowledge of electrical design concepts and techniques
• Experience with REVIT is an advantage
