Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking an Electrical Engineer – Level 2 to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This role supports all phases of electrical engineering objectives from inception through completion, focusing on executing electrical testing at the system level for flight hardware and launch support equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Author electrical work packages and execute procedures as the test conductor
  • Support vehicle-level tests and collaborate with a team of support engineers and technicians
  • Complete data reviews post-test execution
  • Develop and execute troubleshooting plans for nonconformances
  • Support the development of quality processes and procedures
  • Maintain close coordination with the engineering manager on electrical engineering activities and milestones
  • Participate in daily escalation and tiered meeting structures
  • Support transition to digital work instructions (MES)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 2 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 0 years of professional experience
  • Interim active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
  • General background in electrical engineering, power systems, RF, and digital and analog electronic systems
  • Experience supporting avionics, system-level, or ground support equipment testing

Preferred Qualifications

  • U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
  • Experience reviewing flight telemetry and interpreting system behavior in accordance with executed tests
  • Experience in electronics troubleshooting or anomaly investigation
  • Security+ Certification or ability to obtain
  • Experience executing electrical testing on flight hardware on a fully integrated vehicle
  • Experience in the Aerospace or Defense industry (development or test)

Pay

Primary level salary range: $87,600.00 - $131,400.00. The above range represents a general guideline; actual base salary offers consider factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
