About the role

Lead Electrical Engineer responsible for aircraft systems integration, including avionics upgrades and power distribution within the Military Aircraft sector.

Responsibilities

  • Design and support aircraft electrical systems modifications, ensuring proper electrical requirements, integration, and testing.
  • Perform electrical interface and power test planning, verification, troubleshooting, and issue resolution in lab and aircraft environments.
  • Lead tasks related to wiring, signal interfaces, and system integration, mentoring junior team members.
  • Manage budgets and schedules, generate professional documentation, and collaborate across teams.
  • Work onsite, travel as needed, and support overtime to meet project demands.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field with 9+ years of experience, or equivalent experience without a degree.
  • Experience in system wiring and signal interface integration.
  • Proficiency in electrical CAD tools such as Visual Engineer, AutoCAD Electrical, or Capital Harness.
  • Knowledge of military and aircraft design standards like MIL-STD-810 and SAE ARP4754 is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to produce technical drawings and reports, and familiarity with digital and analog signals.
  • Physical ability to work inside aircraft and hangar environments, including climbing and maneuvering in tight spaces.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
  • Must be able to work onsite and travel.
