What You'll Do
- Perform engineering calculations, investigations, and analysis on high voltage electrical systems for heavy-duty vehicles
- Support senior engineers with electrical system design and re-design of components and subsystems
- Design electrical parts and components that meet quality, cost, reliability, and manufacturability requirements
- Collaborate with internal engineering and business teams as well as outside suppliers on design issues
- Provide technical support for prototype, pilot, and production vehicle builds
- Create and process engineering documentation, including change notices and change proposals
- Support senior engineers in developing basic plans, computation methods, and technical reports
What We Need From You
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field
- Internship experience or 6+ months of related engineering work experience
- Ability to perform accurate engineering calculations and technical analysis
- Comfortable working across engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, procedures, and industry standards
Preferred / Bonus
- Bachelor's degree specifically in Electrical Engineering
- Familiarity with CAN / SAE J1939 vehicle network protocols
- Experience with programming languages or controls software
- Automotive high voltage training or certification
- Familiarity with power electronics and electric machines
- Familiarity with energy storage systems
