What You'll Do
- Assist in the design and integration of control systems and vehicle electronics using foundational electrical engineering principles.
- Support the creation and maintenance of electrical schematics using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools such as Zuken E3 or AutoCAD.
- Help troubleshoot Controller Area Network (CAN) systems including tools like CANalyzer or Vector CANoe and perform basic diagnostics using multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Participate in testing and validation activities using data acquisition and analysis tools such as Dewesoft, MATLAB, or nCode.
- Contribute to documentation and design tracking using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems such as Dassault Systems 3DX, including exposure to Engineering Change Notification (ECN) processes.
- Learn about and support the application of functional safety standards such as ISO 26262 or IEC 61508 in system design and testing.
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Agricultural Engineering, or relative equivalent discipline.
- Foundational understanding of electrical engineering principles, especially in control systems and vehicle electronics.
- Exposure to CAD tools (e.g., Zuken E3, AutoCAD), CAN protocols (e.g., SAE J1939), and data acquisition tools (e.g., MATLAB, Dewesoft).
- Interest in learning about functional safety and engineering change processes.
- Willingness to perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting in lab or field environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with a growth mindset.
Travel
Occasional travel is expected of this position.
Work Location
ONSITE: A team member's day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
