About the role
Electrical Engineer III positions are available at Holtec International and its subsidiaries, which are designing the SMR-300 small modular reactor for clean energy using nuclear fission. The role is offered by SMR LLC, part of the Holtec International family, a global supplier of equipment and systems for various energy sectors.
Primary responsibilities
- Techically lead execution of the EQ program.
- Cookordinate multi-discipline teams including external vendors and stakeholders.
- Requirements development
- Design specification development
- Licensing conformance evaluations
- Read, interpret and develop electrical diagrams
- Read and interpret P&IDs
- Perform vendor selection and vetting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or related engineering discipline from an ABET accredited college or university.
- 5–10 years of progressive Electrical engineering experience.
- Experience participating in an Environmental Qualification program that meets 10 CFR 50.49.
- Advanced expertise in design, project execution, and regulatory compliance.
- Produces and reviews technical deliverables to ensure high quality and compliance.
- Strong communicator, able to present technical information clearly to management, clients, and regulators.
- Exercises sound judgment in complex technical and project decisions.
- Demonstrates advanced planning, organizational, and project management skills.
- Adaptable in dynamic project and organizational environments.
- Leads and mentors teams of engineers, fostering collaboration and growth.
- Consistently meets deadlines and manages competing priorities.
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree or advanced technical training preferred.
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in Electrical design for power generation, with substantial nuclear exposure.
- Experience developing or managing an Environmental Qualification program that meets 10 CFR 50.49 for new build projects.
- Deep knowledge of US and international licensing standards and nuclear regulatory guidance.
- Recognized proficiency with nuclear-specific codes, standards, and best practices.

Pay
Annual compensation based on skills and experience ranging from $125,000.00-$145,000.00
