The Simulation and Training Solutions group is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering II professional to join the team in Sterling, VA. This position involves participating in the development, modification, integration, and testing of aircraft and ground vehicle training simulators for military and commercial use, including white paper and design reuse. Responsibilities include electrical analysis and characterization, schematic design, power budgets, part specification and selection, custom cabling and interconnect design, electrical assembly documentation, and prototype integration & testing.
Responsibilities
- Work with limited supervision to design, analyze, integrate, test, and document moderately complex electrical hardware.
- Contribute to hardware engineering requirements: capture, analysis, and creation for medium complexity components of electrical designs.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Software, Systems Engineering) to ensure electrical design aligns with project/product design approach.
- Participate in cross‑functional team efforts for integration and test of completed designs and sub‑systems.
- Understand and utilize appropriate processes and tools during hardware development.
