About the Role

As an Electrical Engineer II, you will take ownership of building-systems electrical design across multiple concurrent projects. This role is for a licensed engineer who produces stamped designs, drives quality, and leads construction administration with minimal supervision. You will develop work plans and schedules to keep projects on track through permitting and delivery, coordinate closely with in-house disciplines and outside consultants, and mentor junior engineers. This position marks the transition from executing tasks to owning outcomes, with a focus on medium-to-high complexity systems, power system analysis, and code compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a licensed engineer of record on assigned electrical projects, producing stamped designs, calculations, and technical specifications in Revit and AutoCAD consistent with Progressive's Performance Based Design standards.
  • Deliver complete electrical construction documents across multiple concurrent projects, including detailed contract documents, construction documents, and specifications for small-to-moderate client projects.
  • Own advanced power system analysis and code compliance, including load flow, harmonic studies, protective-device coordination, and code compliance reviews to NEC, IEC, and other applicable standards.
  • Build project work plans and schedules that align scope, schedule, and budget to meet permitting and delivery dates, targeting on-time delivery.
  • Lead construction administration with minimal supervision, managing RFIs, shop drawing submittals and reviews, clarifications, field investigations, and inspections to minimize field rework.
  • Coordinate design across in-house disciplines and outside consultants, organizing and leading team meetings, reviewing work for cross-disciplinary alignment, and engaging clients and governing agencies.
  • Drive quality and consistency across deliverables by reviewing calculations, specifications, and junior staff work, and proactively resolving documentation inconsistencies.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, providing technical guidance, training, and contributing to 'Lessons Learned' sessions to raise team capability.

Benefits

  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) providing a real ownership stake in the company.
  • Comprehensive benefits including an award-winning wellness program.
  • Hybrid work schedule and summer hours for work-life integration.
  • Profit-sharing and continuing education opportunities.
  • Paid service-learning hours and corporate sponsorship for community organizations.
  • Mentorship and growth opportunities toward senior technical leadership roles.
