Responsibilities

  • Design development, equipment layouts, construction drawings and bill of materials
  • Proficiency of power engineering theories and principles
  • Proficiency of practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations and preparing recommendations
  • Understanding of power distribution systems
  • Ability to understand complex initiatives across multiple teams/platforms
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Quantitative and analytical skill set
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to multitask and adapt to changing demands

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 4+ years of prior industry experience
  • Proficient in the use of all software needed to produce quality electrical design drawings such as AutoCAD, TED, Microsoft Office programs
  • Knowledge of PPL Electric Utilities standards and distribution design practices is preferred
  • Ability to interpret and analyze customer's electrical, architectural, and structural drawings, one-line diagram and load letters

Additional Requirements

  • Must be willing to comply with all pre-employment screening, including but not limited to, drug testing, reference verification, education and employment verification, and background screening
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License
