About the role
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating the electrical aspects of facility and infrastructure projects. This role ensures that all electrical components—from design and installation to testing and commissioning—are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with codes and standards. The engineer works closely with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to define project requirements, develop schedules, and oversee progress to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the electrical aspects of all projects.
- Prepare and process construction plans, identify possible errors, and ensure corrections by the designer.
- Compile material and equipment requirements, submit investment requirements, and provide technical monitoring.
- Develop and continuously monitor the project plan (schedule, costs, etc.).
- Oversee the requesting of quotes, conduct comparisons, and prepare final decisions on quotes.
- Accept completed work after ensuring any warranty repairs are carried out.
- Support the Manager by searching for suppliers, documenting projects, and handling necessary paperwork.
- Follow up and coordinate daily with contractors.
- Monitor and document any work changes to project documentation.
- Enforce Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS), and security aspects of all assigned projects.
- Develop framework contracts (e.g., electrical equipment, generators, fire alarm systems).
Requirements
- Experience with 480 voltages (low voltage) and transformer installation in industrial buildings.
- Experience with industrial building electrical installations of wiring and equipment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field.
- At least 3+ years of professional experience in a similar role.
