Electrical Engineer I

Our Substation Engineer role supports relay protection and control engineering, focusing on detailed design for various substation projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform design activities requiring a basic understanding of drawings, calculations, specifications, and industry standards and practices covering the assigned work.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, cost estimates, specifications, evaluations, and requisitions.
- Develop professional work knowledge and abilities in one or more of the following areas: Substation Design, Electrical Control Systems, Protective Relaying.
- Develop knowledge of TRC’s design, construction, QA/QC, and safety standards and the Company document control system.
- Responsible for complete and accurate record keeping and quality of all work performed.
- May be required to travel to support work.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
- EIT certification strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE / ANSI Standard.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Capability of solving difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard approaches, techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Compensation
In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
