Electrical Engineer I
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems
- Support and participate in technical activity
- Review customer specifications and requirements, and under direction, develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable
- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in existing products or systems and makes modifications as needed
- Absorb and maintain system Interface Control Documents (ICD)
- Compile and evaluate design and test data
- Analyze, develop and recommend design approaches
- May use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, written and verbal
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools
- Experience with using modeling software such as schematic capture and PC layout tools is a plus
- Ability to read and understand commercial and/or military electrical drawings is a plus
Pay
The salary range for this position is $66,049.00/year - $85,864.00/year for the state of Illinois. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications.
